Ronald L. Crites, 60, Union Star, passed Thursday, July 22, 2010 at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1949 in Clovis, N.M., the son of Howard and Arelene (Schabert) Crites.

On July 28, 1973, he married Agnes Henggeler in Conception Junction, Mo. She survives of the home.

Ronald was a mechanic. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah, Mo.; Tri-C Memorial Post # 464, Conception Junction; and was a Scout Master for Troop 101, King City, Mo.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his children: Katie (Rodney) Fields, Rea, Mo., Tim Crites, Davey, Neb., Mary Crites, Chesterfield, Mo.; Emily (Matt) Pearl, King City; grandchildren: Sam, Grace, and Luke Fields; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Cletus Lager;  sisters-in-law and their spouses: Marilyn and Richard Fletchall, Helen and Vernan Jensen, Gerianne and Steve Strough, and Patricia Sherry; mother-in-law, Lucille Henggeler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bryan Sherry and father-in-law, Leo Henggeler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 26, at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah, under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home, King City. Burial with Military Rites by Tri-C Memorial Post #464 in Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, Mo.The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home, King City, anytime Sunday until 3:30 p.m.
