Conception Junction, Mo. -

Donald G. Schieber, 59, Conception Junction, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the St. Joseph, Mo., hospital. Born on June 24, 1949 in Maryville, Mo., he lived most of his life in the Conception Junction area. His parents were Joseph and Clara King Schieber.

Donald was a graduate of the Jefferson High School. Conception Junction. He was a Army veteran and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Donald retired in 2002 after 32 years with the Union Pacific Railroad.

Donald was preceded by his parents, and a sister Sue Moad.

Donald was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church and the Tri-C American Legion Post, both of Conception Junction.

On Dec. 15, 1973 he married Peggy L. Gaskill in Conception Junction. She survives of the home. To this union two children were born: a son C.J. Schieber, St. Joseph, and a daughter Belvadene Daniels, Maryville. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Cole and Kyndall Daniels, Maryville, and Evan Schieber, St. Joseph; a brother, Joe and wife, Marlene Schieber, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters Janette and husband Kurt Saxton, Conception Junction, Linda Morris, Kansas City, Kathy and husband Don McCrary, Conception Junction; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction. The burial will be in the St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Mo. Family rosary, 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. Parish rosary, 6 p.m. Friday at the St. Columba Catholic Church.
