Marlin Heflin, 67, of Maryville, Mo. died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St Joseph, Mo.
Marlin was born May 25, 1941 in Maryville, the son of John D. and Clare (Swinford) Heflin. After graduating from Horace Mann High School, Maryville, Marlin joined the Navy.
A member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, he had worked construction and drove a truck. He was a member of the Tri C American Legion Post #464, Conception Junction, Mo. and the Maryville Elks Club #760.
Marlin was preceded in death by his father, John, Oct. 7, 2001 and mother, Clare, Aug. 11, 2002.
Survivors include his son: Scott Heflin; his daughter and son-in-law: Rachelle and Todd Rickabaugh, all of Maryville; three grandsons: Kale Heflin, Austin and Trevor Rickabaugh. two brothers: Norman Heflin, Kansas City, Mo. and Roger Heflin, Warsaw, Mo. and many other relatives and friends.
A 4 p.m. Legion of Mary Rosary is Monday, July 21, 2008, Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Monday, July 21, also at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Maryville.
