Herbert Jefferson Wade, 93, Skidmore, Mo., died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Parkdale Manor Care Center in Maryville, Mo.

He was born July 17, 1914, in Competition, Mo. to James and Anna (Crabtree) Wade.

He married  Mary Josephine Andermann on May  2, 1935, in Rock Port, Mo.

Herbert was a retired farmer and rural mail carrier.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Josephine, parents, six sisters: Alma Dougan, Myrtle Wade, Mable Cook, Mamie Jameson, Gladys VanCaster, Dorothy Holiday and four brothers: Raymond Wade, James Clifford Wade, Herman Wade and Sherman Wade.

He is survived by his daughter Shirley Wade, Skidmore, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at  Price Funeral Home Chapel in Maryville.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore.
