James Jackson Greenhaw, MD, Republic, Mo. and a former resident, died Saturday, June 7, 2009, at St. John's Health Center, Springfield, Mo.

He was born Feb. 8, 1928, at Snowball, Ark. He served in the United States Navy and had a family practice in the area for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Anne; three children: Jack Greenhaw, Little Rock, Ark., John Greenhaw, Republic, Mo. and Suzanne Fox, Bozeman, Mont.; two granddaughters: Sara Greenhaw, Springfield, Mo. and Elizabath Greenhaw, Aurora, Mo.; one brother: Gene Greenhaw, Lowell, Ark. and one sister: Elaine Greenhaw, Kennewick, Wash.

At his request the body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Cremation was under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National, Springfield, MO 65803.
