The Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce’s 7th Annual Maryville Festival of the Arts will be held Friday, September 12 from 3 – 9 p.m. and Saturday the 13th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in downtown Maryville.

The festival will highlight fine artists and fine crafters displaying and selling their original works. Some of the art forms include ceramics, copper metalwork, jewelry, photography, textiles/weaving, watercolors, oil & acrylic paintings, stained glass, and more. There will also be a Northwest Student art exhibit and children's art display.

The Chamber is still accepting works of art from children grades K-12 up until September 8 to be displayed inside the Northside Mall. Artwork can be dropped off at the Chamber at 423 N. Market.
Various forms of entertainment will take place throughout the event beginning Friday evening with the Chamber’s Downtown Sounds where the Mighty MO Box Band will perform bluegrass and jazz from 6-8:30 p.m. The Maryville Dance Academy will kick Saturday off at 10 a.m. followed by singer Rachel Sporleder. Bearcat Boogie Diamond Dancers will then perform at 11 a.m. Musical Stringman Paul Imholte from St. Cloud, MN will provide rolling-strolling music throughout the streets during the entire event with a cart full of songs and strings.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Nodaway will host the Children’s Imagination Station throughout the two-day event. Children of all ages can stop by the station and create their own “work of art”.
