The Northwest Rodeo Team hosted the 15th Annual Ed Phillips Memorial Rodeo this weekend at Ed Phillips Memorial Arena in Maryville.
Thousands of rodeo fans came out Friday and Saturday night to see the best bareback riding, calf roping, break away roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding. When fans weren't being entertained by the action, they were getting laughs from a rodeo clown nicknamed Pork Chop.
Kids in attendance got to become part of the action in the calf scramble both nights. Kids were let loose in the arena along with a couple of calves. The objective was to grab one of the ribbons tied to the calves' tails in order to win a prize.
Everyone that participated walked away with something as everyone recieved a free gift.
