Krysta Beattie is starting to develop into a reliable sidekick for Megan Rosenbohm.
The junior post player scored a season-high 17 points to go along with Rosenbohm's 25 in a 56-47 win over Northeast Nodaway Thursday in Ravenwood.
Beattie has now scored double-figures in back-to-back games and three of the last four.
"Krysta really dominated inside," said Nodaway-Holt head coach David Carroll. "I think she's getting better. We're getting her the ball a little bit more, but she's getting in position to make her shots."
Beattie jump-started the Trojans with nine first quarter points. Nodaway-Holt led 18-15 at the end of one and extended to as much as a nine-point lead in the second quarter before going to the half up 29-23.
The Trojans widened their lead out to 10 by the end of the third quarter.
Rosenbohm scored Nodaway-Holt's first three fourth quarter baskets and a three-point play by Bailee Lance put the Trojans up 54-40.
The Jays scored the next six points to get within eight and made things interesting in the final 30 seconds.
Michelle Schulte stole the ball from Rosenbohm near mid-court and passed ahead to Kerrigan Adwell who was fouled on her way up to the basket.
Adwell made the first shot and missed the second, but the rebound came to Rachel Runde. She shot a fade-away that came up short which would've cut it to five.
Rosenbohm missed the front end of one-and-one at the other end, but took the ball away from Schulte on the rebound and cemented it with an easy lay in.
"They got that nine-point lead on us and we just never fought our way back in the game," said Northeast Nodaway head coach Vance Proffitt. "That part in the second quarter, we really shot ourselves in the foot. I thought our defense wasn't bad holding them to 56. They shot really well tonight. When you hit, good defense doesn't stop good offense."
Rosenbohm's 25-point outing marked the 12th time she's reached that total this season.
Lance and Kalli Devers added five points each for the Trojans.
The Jays were led by sophomore guard Claudia Wiederholt with 14 points and Schlute with 13. Runde narrowly missed double-figures with nine.
NEN stayed in the game by knocking down a season-high seven three-pointers.

Schlute, sophomore Holly Redden and Wiederholt each made two. Runde sank one.
"That's by far the best we've shot the ball tonight," said Proffitt. "The second quarter we didn't shoot it very well and that kind of hurt us. Overall, I'm very pleased with the effort we gave tonight especially offensively."
NEN resumes action next week. The Trojans take a six-game win streak into their pivotal 275 road showdown against Mound City tonight.
If the Trojans win, they will maintain sole possession of first place in the conference.
"It's going to be really tough in their backyard," said Carroll. "It's Courtwarming for them. They know what situation they're in. It's a big challenge, but like I told the girls tonight after the game, this is what you're playing for. We're looking forward to it. I think we'll be ready."
