The scene was the Maryville Community Center, but anyone would have sworn this party was held at a swank nightclub in Upper Manhattan.
Themed "New York-New York," the 2010 St. Francis Gala, which took place Saturday night, was a glamorous evening of food, music and good cheer, all for the sake of raising money for a new digital mammography machine at St. Francis Hospital & Healthy Services.
The eighth-annual gala began with a social hour at 6:30 p.m followed by dinner and an evening of dancing and music from the Broadway stage. Many of those attending the black tie-optional event came dressed in full "New York style" and were given the opportunity to promenade down a fashion show-style catwalk.
For those of you who missed it, here are a few photos from an evening when Maryville was transformed into the city that never sleeps. See Monday's "Daily Forum" for the full story.
