The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, directed by Larry O’Brien, will return to the swing-era legend's hometown of Clarinda, Iowa, for the annual Glenn Miller Festival June 10-13.

Though Miller died in a World War II plane crash more than 60 years ago, his trademark sound lives, which is no surprise to O’Brien.

"It seems that good things just don’t ever die. Rather, they age gracefully and mellow with the years.  If anything, I honestly think the authentic Glenn Miller music today is more popular with more people than ever before," O'Brien said.

The Miller band will perform at the festival at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12.  This year's celebration will also include appearances by Hunter Fuerste and His American Vintage Orchestra; the Tamana Girls High School Band from Tamana, Japan; the Swing Kids from Romanshorn, Switzerland; the Ballyhoo Foxtrot Orchestra; and the United States Air Force Noteables.
