Not really knowing what to talk about this week, I figured I would go to my ole stand by, random rumblings that have crossed my mind these past few weeks.

Chiefs camp is in St. Joseph. How many of you out there have been to see our mighty Chiefs led by one of the best coaches in Philadelphia Eagles history?
I think I am finally going to head that way this weekend. Care to join me?
I really liking taking my younger kids with me. To see the athletes (and cheerleaders) go out of their way to make my sons happy is rather special to me.
Especially when all you hear in the news about athletes is drug and alcohol abuse, PEDs (baseball), etc. etc.
And don’t get me started on Aaron Hernandez.
It would be nice to show people that athletes really care about the kids and will go out of their way for them.
Even Dwayne Bowe (D-Bowe) will come by and give my little boy a high five.
Now, how about getting Chiefs training camp to come to Maryville? Just a thought!

How about those Royals, huh? Who would have thought that they would have come all the way back from that egg they were laying way back in May when they went 8-20 for the month.
I mean, I was ready to jump ship and everything. But, just like all great sinkholes, I got sucked right back in.
Now if they could only take care of that issue they have on second base.
Then maybe we would have something going.
So, for now, I am standing pat with the Royals. At least, until, they start blowing up the team and start over again.
Then I might have to reassess.
Still haven’t been to a ballgame yet. Even though I told myself, this would be the year I got back to the ballpark.

So today is August. Wow, where did the year go? It is just crazy how much has happened this year. Some good, some bad. Mostly good though.

Speaking of August, Simply Siam opens its new location on the square this week.
Man, I have missed my favorite dining spot for the past few weeks.
There is just nothing better than Mussaman Curry and Simply Siam’s AWESOME crab rangoon!
Page 2 of 2 - Just thinking about it is making me drool.
So, this month is starting off right. Now I just have to convince my wife that we need to make a trip out for Thai food.
For that matter, who would have thought that Maryville would be the spot for good Thai food?
I mean we have some decent restaurants in town but Thai food?
So, if you are looking for something different that taste fantastic, give Simply Siam a chance. It just may change your life.

And no, that wasn’t a paid advertisement for Simply Siam.

Finally, I want to give you all an update on the baby girl. She is doing fantastic and growing like a weed.
Not that she is a weed she is just growing like one but you knew what I meant.
Anyway, she has been a trooper and has been keeping mommy on her toes.
It is amazing to me how quickly that this little girl has won her dad’s heart.
She is really something special.
Of course she is, she takes after her mother, luckily.
To all my wife’s co-workers, she misses you guys and looks forward to seeing you soon.
I mean, she hasn’t really seen too many adults recently. Considering I am just a big kid, I don’t count.
