Clifford I. Cockayne, 80, Maryville, Missouri, died Friday, July 26,2013 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.
Clifford was born December 22, 1932, in Maysville, Missouri to Joseph "Ivan" and Bula Jane (Holt) Cockayne.
A 1950 graduate of the Quitman High School, Clifford served his country and retired from the United States Air Force.
He married Shirley Frampton on January 9, 1958, in Maryville, Missouri.
Clifford was a member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, the Elks Club, Maryville, Missouri Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Missouri Trapshooters Association, Amateur Trapshooters Association, and was inducted to the "Missouri Trapshooters Hall of Fame", and Cliff and Shirley spent 30 winters in Arizona trapshooting. Cliff participated in the National Trapshooting Association, Vandalia, Ohio.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Ann Cockayne of their home and sisters
Lucile Bithos, Maryville, MO, and Marjorie Dearmont, Bertram, TX.
Visitation will be from 2-4 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home,10:00 AM, Monday, July 29. Burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Maryville. Military Services will be provided by the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, Maryville.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in Clifford's name.
