I need your help as I am attempting to reach out to all Rinehart and Miller descendants all over Worth, Gentry, Nodaway, Harrison, Laclede, and Atchison counties.
The bi-annual reunion of the descendants of Kendall Miller and Jennie Lynn Williams and their 13 children will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Allendale Community Center in Allendale, MO. The potluck dinner starts at 12 noon.
Born in Tennessee, Kendall served in the Civil War. After his discharge, he traveled to Worth County where he met and married Jennie Lynn Williams in 1868. They raised a family of 13 children-8 sons and 5 daughters.
All the children are now deceased as well as their children but, some of the third generation are still alive. Although it is impossible to count exactly how many descendant there are, I estimate well over 5,000 known descendants exist. Many stayed in Missouri.
Henry went to Washington and then Oregon. George went to California. Jim, Ed, and Fred stayed in the Allendale area. Orlie and Gag went to Iowa. Carl settled in Grant City. Ollie and Ella married Rinehart brothers and stayed near Allendale. Vada and Allie married Anthony brothers and settled in Albany and Lebanon. Lena married a Colvin and settled in Bethany.
