A starter all four years at Northwest Missouri State, senior second baseman Hailee Hendricks was selected first team All-MIAA for the first time in her career Thursday.
She was the only first or second team selection for the Bearcats who finished eighth in the conference. Four others made honorable mention.
An honorable mention selection twice before, Hendricks hit .333 during the regular season with five home runs and a team-leading 35 RBIs. She's committed only one error on the season.
Senior pitcher Jenna Creger, senior outfielder Candace Miller, senior first baseman Rachael Schmitz and junior outfielder Jordan Ereth each made honorable mention.
This is Creger's third honorable mention selection and the first for Miller, Schmitz and Ereth.
Northwest's No. 1 pitcher all four years of her career, Creger is 13-9 as a senior with a 1.92 ERA that ranks fourth in the MIAA. She set the school's all-time strikeout record last year.
Miller, a transfer from Oklahoma Panhandle, leads Northwest with a .370 average.
A starter at shortstop each of her first three years, Schmitz is hitting .252 with four home runs and 21 RBIs.
Ereth, the team's lead-off hitter, carries a .327 average and has stolen a team-high 11 bases.
The Bearcats take on top-seeded Central Oklahoma in the first round of the MIAA Tournament today at 2 p.m.
