Members of the Sigma Kappa sorority and the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity chapters of Northwest Missouri State University held their annual "Senior" Prom Thursday.
The event was held at the Nodaway County Senior Center, and featured music, food and dancing.
Taylor Hannan, a member of Sigma Kappa, said that gerontology is part of their sorority's service project, and that the idea of having the dance has been around for awhile.
"We do this because it is a unique way to interact with the people in town," Hannan said.
Alpha Gamma Rho member Zach Stuenkel said that his fraternity enjoys the event as well.
"It's a great thing to do," Stuenkel added. "It's good for the community, and we enjoy it."
