Chevelle, an alternative rock band known for such hits as "The Red," "Face to the Floor," "Jars" and "Letter From a Thief," will perform at Northwest Missouri State University's Bearcat Arena at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Student tickets cost $10 and go on sale Wednesday at the Student Services Center on the first floor of the Administration Building.
Remaining tickets will be sold to the public for $20 starting Wednesday, March 27. At that time, tickets also will be available for purchase by phone at (660) 562-1212 or online.
Formed in suburban Chicago in 1995, Chevelle's lineup includes brothers Pete and Sam Loeffler and Dean Bernardini. The band has scored 11 Top 10 rock and alternative singles and sold more than 4 million albums since the release of its independent debut collection, "Point #1."
Chevelle’s sixth and latest album, "Hats Off To The Bull," was released in 2011 and included "Face to the Floor," which held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s active rock chart for 13 weeks.
The trio closed out 2012 by releasing a greatest-hits album titled "Stray Arrows: A Collection of Favorites."
"SAC is extremely excited to bring Chevelle to Northwest for the spring concert," said Student Activities Council President Emily Chowdhury. "It's a rarity that we have such a well-known artist in town, and you can’t beat the price of the tickets for a concert this close to home."
