John Robert “Bob” DeFreece

John Robert “Bob” DeFreece, 85, Gladstone, MO, passed away February 22, 2013.  Funeral services 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 27th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the McGilley Chapel.  Contributions to Northcare Hospice.

Bob was born March 19, 1927 in Parnell, MO. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II.  Bob was a member of American Legion Post #528, Parnell and the Jayco Elderbirds Camping Club. Before retiring, Bob was a contract mail carrier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite in 2002, and a son, Steven in 1985.

Survivors include a son, John E. DeFreece and wife, Ramona, Morrison, CO; 3 daughters, Carol Ann Bryant and husband, Jim, Gladstone, Janet R. Grider, Gladstone, and Lori A. Scott and husband, David, Kansas City ,MO; sister, Dorothy Michael, Westminster, CA; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
