Robert Altman: born in Missouri

Robert Bernard Altman was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on February 20, 1925. From 1947-2006, Altman was a film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his film M*A*S*H which came out in 1970 and inspired the tv series of the same name which ran from 1972-1983. Altman died at the age of 81 on November 20, 2006, in California.
