Betty L. Gilbert

Betty L. Gilbert, 88, of Billings, Mo., went home to her lord February 13, 2013.

She was born June 17, 1924 to Earl & Lota Graham, Skidmore, Mo. Betty had four brothers and one sister, who preceded her in death.

She married Basil D. Gilbert February 4, 1942.

They lived on a farm near Barnard, Mo., for 45 years. They reitred near Maryville, Mo., in 1987 on a small acreage. Betty worked as a cook at Village Care Center in Maryville, Mo., for six years.

Betty & Basil moved to Billings in 2003 to be near their children and grandchildren.

She is survived by Basil of the home. Three sons, Jerry (Clara) Gilbert, Kirbyville, Mo., LeRoy (Deanna) Gilbert, and David Gilbert of Springfield, Mo., two daughters, Joy (Ken) Miracle & Sally (Bill) Miracle, both of Springfield, Mo., nine grandchildren, eighteen great-granchildren & twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Betty loved farming, gardening, flowers, birds and baking.

Betty & Basil hae been members of Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville, Mo., since 1956.
