  • Gordon Ellsworth Russell, 96, Graham, Missouri, died Monday, February 4, 2013,  at Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, Missouri.
    Gordon was born May 26, 1916, in Savannah, Missouri, to Everett Ellsworth and Gertrude (Fee) Russell.
    A 1934 graduate of the Graham High School, he was a farmer.
    He married Genevieve Goforth on  June 1, 1941, in Maryville.
    Gordon  was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church, the Graham Lion's Club (last surviving charter member) a Zone Chair and Deputy Governor of Lion's Club International and other numerous civic and community organizaitons.
    Preceding Gordon in death were his wife Genevieve (2007), his parents, brothers Lawrence, Corliss, Carol, and Meril, nephew Conrad Russell, and great grandson Mason Tunell.
    Survivors include daughters Jenila and husband Kelly Martin, Cleveland, Tennessee, Marcia and husband David Leeper, Graham, grandchildren Shelley Betsinger, Shawn Leeper, Ben Tunell, and Trevor Leeper, six great granddaughters, three great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 11 AM, at the Graham United Methodist Church,  with burial in Prairie Home  Cemetery, Graham.
    Memorials may be made to the Graham United Methodist Church in Gordon's name.
