Mrs. Emogene G. Hardisty, 89, Maryville, MO, and formerly of Burlington Junction, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 03, 2013, at the Nodaway Nursing Home in Maryville.
Emogene was born on September 10, 1923, in Silver City, Iowa, to Ernest G. and Osie L. (Leedy) Growcock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alva Hardisty in 2005; sister Carolene Growcock; brothers, John Granger, Chester Growcock; grandson, Mark Corbalby.
Emogene was a member and attended the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Maryville, MO. She worked as a sales clerk with JC Penneys.
Survivors; daughter, Dayle J. (Jay) Murphy, Palmdale, CA; sister, Lois M. Short, Burlington Junction, MO; brother, Robert (Emma Lea) Crowcock, Clarkridge, AR; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hardisty has been cremated under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.
Memorial graveside services will be in the spring at the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, MO. No formal visitation is planned.
