• Trojans rally past NEN for home win

  • Facing a four-point deficit at half, Nodaway-Holt's boys got their offense going in second half and motored past Northeast Nodaway for a 57-51 win Thursday night in Graham.
    The Trojans scored 33 second half points, with 18 coming in the third quarter. Nodaway-Holt grabbed a four-point lead in the third and created slightly more distance in the fourth quarter.
    The Trojans moved to 14-6 on the year, while NEN fell to 11-11. This was Nodaway-Holt's second win over the Bluejays this year.
    Nodaway-Holt's Nick Patterson erupted for a season-high 27 points. He was the team's only double-figure scorer. Jackson Beattie followed with seven points and Derek Lemon had six.
    NEN was led by Aaron Patton with 14 points and Kevin Stoll with 10. Joel Scroggie (eight points), Sage DeLong (seven points) and Steve Schulte (six) were the other top Bluejay scorers.
