...DARY! Legendary!
Sorry for missing last week but I was too busy wallowing in the pain of watching my Philadelphia Flyers put lackluster performances up in the first three NHL games.
Not the greatest way to open a season. Plus, last night, they had to lose to Lisa’s New York Rangers. Boo! Oh well, I guess there is always baseball.

So in contemplating what to write today, I just so happened to glance in the mirror this morning.
Wow, when did my hair get so long. Plus, apparently I forgot to shave (or am growing another beard because the Flyers appear to still be on strike).
If my mom was around town, I think she would take me aside and let me know that this type of behavior would not be tolerated under her watch.
To be honest, I just didn’t know I was capable of producing so much hair on my head. Considering this started from the time I butched me head until now.
Although it is still pretty thin up there. Just hope it doesn’t develop into a “trump-like” quality.

So I am stuck inside as this beautiful snow begins to fall. Although, from the scanner behind me, not as many people out there are as happy about the snow fall as I am.
Call me a kid at heart or the fact that I spent so many years in Texas longing for just one more snow day while in school, I have missed snow. So every day that we have it, I get excited.
While we are on this topic, why does it only appear to snow during the week. How about a Saturday snow fall? Then people wouldn’t get stuck rushing for work and getting into accidents.
Have we had a weekend snow fall this winter?
Plus, I want to go out and play in the snow with my kids. I love those times. I know my kids do as well.
We just need directions to a good sledding hill in town, any suggestions out there?
All that aside, I just hope that everyone made it to work safe during this impromptu snow/blizzard. (it is Wednesday as I write this).

So a countdown, of sorts, has begun for me. As you all know I am a huge geek at heart. I play MMOs, I have a Nerd Night with the boys (holler fellow Nerds).
Coming soon to a convention center near us, Planet Comicon is just on the horizon. Yes it is only January and April is still pretty far away but I just keep getting more and more excited.
Plus throw in the fact that Wil Wheaton, Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Adam Baldwin are all going to be there this time, I am like in Nerd-vana!
Speaking of Wil Wheaton, if you like board games, like I do, you should check out his YouTube series called Tabletop. It is fun, informative and lets you see games played that you may overlook.
Good stuff.

Also, today is my brother Tony’s birthday. So Happy Birthday Tony and I hope life is grand for you.
My brother Tony and I were room mates for most of my life. Of course that also made us mortal enemies as well.
You know you can’t live that closely with a relative and not turn on them shortly thereafter.
Plus, he was always mom’s favorite. Although, depending on which brother you ask, that may be open for interpretation.
And Tony would never allow his hair to get so long. Further enforcing the fact that mom would like him better than myself and the others.

In conclusion, I hope everyone is doing great out there. January is almost in the rearview and February is on the horizon. Man this year is going fast.
Looking forward to what this year will bring and I am glad you are joining me for the ride.
