South Nodaway's girls used a strong first half showing to deliver a 46-32 win over West Nodaway Thursday night in Burlington Junction.
The Longhorns outscored West Nodaway by seven points in the first quarter and 14-4 in the second to lead 29-12 at the half.
West Nodaway only cut into South Nodaway's lead slightly in the second half.
The Longhorns had six players contribute at least five points in the game. Their high scorer was Andrea Henggeler with 13 points. She had 10 of those in the second half.
Lee Ann Walker hit three of the team's four three's to finish with nine points. Malainee Hilsabeck and Salena Hines each had six.
West Nodaway's Marissa Perkins had a game-high 14 points and Emily Cordell scored 12 with a pair of three's.
