Maryville's boys basketball team went to the half up by four points over Cameron, but couldn't hold the lead in the second half of a 47-44 loss to the host Dragons in the semifinals of the Cameron Tournament Thursday.
Cameron trimmed Maryville's lead to one at the end of the third and outscored the Hounds 10-6 in the closing quarter to complete the comeback.
The Dragons advanced to play Smithville in the championship Saturday at 6 p.m. Maryville (13-5) plays Excelsior Springs in the third place game Saturday at 3 p.m.
Hound senior guard Jonathan Baker scored half the team's total with 22 points and hit four three-pointers.
Tyler Kenkel was also in double-figures with 11 points.
Treyton Burch finished with seven.
Maryville held Cameron's Carter Morrison to just three points, but three other Dragons scored in double-figures.
Tyler Roberts had a team-high 15 points followed by Luke Hunter with 13 and Colton Boyer with 12.
