  • Washburn is the only MIAA team listed in this week's NABC Men's Division II Top 25 Poll and just barely.
The Ichabods (10-4, 3-3) dropped 11 spots to No. 24 after back-to-back losses to Truman State and Northeastern State last week.
A consensus pick to win the MIAA before the season, Washburn is currently in ninth place.
Conference leader Central Missouri (12-3, 6-1) picked up eight first place votes, placing the Mules behind 10 other non-top 25 teams. Northwest Missouri State had its two first-place votes taken away with a loss to Lincoln last week.
The highest ranked team in the Central Region by 17 spots is Minnesota State at No. 7. Winona State (Minn.) is 25th. Harding, which beat Northwest in Hawaii, is four spots outside the top 25.
Metro State (Colo.) took over the No. 1 ranking from West Liberty (W.Va.) which fell to No. 4 after losing its first game. Metro State, No. 2 Western Washington and No. 3 Kentucky Wesleyan are the lone three unbeatens remaining in Division II.
The MIAA has much more of a presence in the women's Division II poll with No. 14 Washburn, No. 16 Central Missouri and No. 18 Pittsburg State among the top 25.
Fort Hays State, Truman State and Northeastern State are all receiving votes.
