Northeast Nodaway battled through fatigue caused by a double overtime win from the night before to squeeze by South Nodaway 41-38 Tuesday night in Barnard.
The Bluejays entered the fourth quarter up just two points and managed to hold on.
NEN finished 7-10 at the foul line while South Nodaway was just 4-8.
Northeast also made four three's in the game, two more than the Longhorns who scored nine points or fewer in three of four quarters.
Aaron Patton led the Bluejays with 13 points. Kevin Stoll pitched in 10 points and Steve Schulte made two three's to finish with six.
All of South Nodaway's scoring was done by the trio of Dakota Murphy (16 points) Silas Nielson (13 points) and Mitch Hilsabeck (nine points).
Nodaway-Holt 66 Union Star 45
The Trojans orchestrated one of their best offensive performances of the year and buried Union Star in the third quarter of a 66-45 win Tuesday night.
Nodaway-Holt scored 32 first half points and doubled an eight point first quarter lead to 16 at the half. In the third quarter, the Trojans rung up 26 points and expanded their lead to 58-28.
The Trojans made six three's in the game and five players had at least eight points.
Derek Lemon finished as the team leader with 17 points, connecting on three, 3-pointers. Stephen Schniedermeyer had 11 points. Nick Patterson pumped in 10 and drilled a pair of three's.
Jackson Beattie scored nine points and Brice Shamberger had eight.
