A week after returning to the NABC Division II Top 25, Northwest Missouri State was one of four teams to drop out of the newest poll released Tuesday.
Formerly ranked No. 24, the Bearcats (11-3, 4-1) picked up just two top 25 votes after losing its first league game to Missouri Western 71-58 Saturday.
That places the Bearcats 16th among the 18 teams in the others receiving votes category.
Northwest's removal from the top 25 leaves No. 10 Washburn as the only ranked MIAA team. The Ichabods (10-2) moved up three spots from last week.
No. 8 Minnesota State (12-1) also moved up three spots to remain the Central Region's highest ranked team.
West Liberty (W.Va.) held firm as the No. 1 ranked team with Metro State (Colo.) at No. 2. All of the top five are undefeated.
And only one of the top 25—No. 22 Franklin Pierce (N.H.)—has more than two losses.
