  • Mark Roy Kieser was born on October 16, 1952, in St. Joseph, MO and died as the result of the complications of cancer on December 22, 2012. He was the son of John Roy Kieser and Lora Lee Kieser, both deceased and of Maryville, MO.
    Mark is survived by his brother, Jan B. Kieser, and his sister-in-law, Nita I.
    Kieser, both of  Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his uncle, Bill Eiman, of Ft. Collins, CO and numerous first, second and third cousins in the Kansas City area and in Colorado.
    Mark was a member of Holmeswood Baptist Church in Kansas City and also attended The United
    Methodist Church of the Resurrection in downtown Kansas City.
    Mark will be remembered by his family and friends as a good and courageous man with a strong Christian faith who touched and influenced the lives of many. He truly served others and made a difference to those who crossed his path. His smiling face and great sense of humor will be missed.
    Mark was cremated and his ashes will be interred at Nodaway Memorial Gardens in Maryville, MO. next to his parents. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 11, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Webb officiating. In case of inclement weather, this service will be held at First Baptist Church in Maryville.
    A memorial service and celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, January 12, at Holmeswood Baptist Church in Kansas City with visitation with family and friends at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Keith Herron officiating.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Holmeswood Baptist Church, The Church of the Resurrection - Downtown Kansas City, and Kansas City Hospice House.
