Is it just me...or has the Newton Nightmare brought humanity a bit closer than many holiday seasons past?
Let me tell you about my day and the people I encountered.
The busy roofing guy that took the time to paint the rim of my skylight wallboard as he installed a new one on our house. NC
The tire shop guy that fixed a slow leak on our SUV, one they had never worked on before. NC
The soccer mom that stopped to ask me if she could help me finish loading my groceries after my lack of planning was obvious.
The checkout lady that insisted upon "carding" me after I purchased a wee bit of holiday cheer. At seventy, that made my day!
The numerous little acts if kindness I observed as I did my rounds ---.you may see them as well.
So instead of the strife, controversy, and political posturing perpetuated by the 24/7 media talking heads that may seem to define us. Get out there and look about you. On the ground, I see that there seems to be more geniune attempts to achieve kinship amongst all races and creeds at the holidays than I can ever recall.
From where I stand, the horrific Newton shootings has bridged some gaps; at least for now. We love babies--- ours and theirs. May our God continue to bless each man of good will.

So ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee."
