Leona "Tompa" Thompson

Leona  "Tompa" Jane Thompson, 101 of Maryville, Missouri died December 10, 2012, at her  home.

Born  December 3, 1911 in Springtown, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer H.and Eliza M. (Hawks) Hall.

August 25, 1928 she was united in marriage to George Thompson at Tarkio, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on July 13, 1978.

Tompa was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Maryville and the United Methodist Women.

Her survivors include: one granddaughter Tara (Cris) Wilmes, Maryville; one sister Mozelle McGinness, Manhattan Beach, CA and  eight great grandchildren Ashtyn, Ben, Jessica, Dustyn, Tierry, Lori , Blaytyn and Scooter Wilmes; nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.

She was predeceded in death by a son, Jackie Ray Thompson, a daughter, Christina Lea O'Connell, and sisters Thelma Osborn and Dottie Hall.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM,  Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Price Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, December 13.  Burial will be in the Miriam Cemetery, Maryville.
