Lady Trojans win 275 opener over Rock Port

Nodaway-Holt started conference play off on the right note, defeating Rock Port 49-31 Friday night.

The Trojans (4-1, 1-0) outscored Rock Port by at least seven points in each of the first three quarters and led by 25 points going to the fourth.

Nodaway-Holt's Megan Rosenbohm led all scorers with 19 points. Joining her in double-figures were

Krysta Beattie with 13 points and Amanda O'Riley with 12.

Rock Port's only double-figure scorer was Allison Lawrence with 11 points.

Jefferson 54 Albany 41

The Jefferson Lady Eagles halted a two-game slide with a 54-41 road win over Albany Friday night.

Up just six at the half, Jefferson broke it open in the third quarter, outscoring Albany 17-7.

Jefferson spread out the scoring with nearly four players in double-figures.

Shanna Welch led the way with 14 points. Danae Schieber scored 11 points. Sarah Kemper had 10 points and Makayla Wilmes finished with nine.

Albany's Megan Poppa led all scorers with 15 points.

Northeast Nodaway 34 Stanberry 24

In a game that featured only one double-figure quarter and no three-pointers, Northeast Nodaway was able to grind out a 34-24 win over Stanberry Friday in Ravenwood.

The Bluejays limited Stanberry to seven points or fewer in all four quarters. They scored eight in three of the four and 10 in the third.

NEN's Taryn Farnan led all scorers with 13 points. Dallis Coffelt notched a season-high 11 points. Claudia Wiederholt deposited six more.

Everyone for Stanberry either had two or four points.

Tarkio 55 North Nodaway 51

Abby McEnaney led the Indians back from a nine-point half deficit with a game-high 26 points in a 55-51 win over North Nodaway Friday night.

The Indians scored 39 of their 55 points in the second half and 21 in the fourth quarter.

North Nodaway fell to 5-2 and both losses have come by a combined seven points to 275 Conference opponents.

Leslie Birkenholz scored 10 points. Cambry Schluter had seven and hit a pair of 3-pointers.

King City 46 South Nodaway 19

The Longhorns hung tough with King City until the second half arrived.

King City matched its first half total with 19 third quarter points and held South Nodaway to two, stretching a five point halftime lead to 22 in a 46-19 win.

After a 14-point first half, South Nodaway scored just five second half points.

King City had five players score at least six points led by Bridgette Bryson with 10.

South Nodaway's Kristen Nielson led all scorers with 11 points. Leann Walker added five points.
