  • Despite a low-key night from all-state guard Megan Rosenbohm, Nodaway-Holt's girls team clobbered Stewartsville 56-19 Tuesday night in Graham.
Nodaway-Holt did almost all of its damage in the first three quarters, outscoring Stewartsville 50-9.
The Trojans improved to 3-1, bouncing back from a loss to Mound City in the Mound City Tournament finals.
Nodaway-Holt's Krysta Beattie led all scorers with 16 points. Kalli Devers also landed in double-figures with 12 points.
Rosenbohm scored just eight points, a season-low.
Randi Schottel tallied a team-high 12 points for Stewartsville.
North Nodaway 57 Worth County 36
Playing well at both end of the floor for the first three quarters, North Nodaway came away with a 57-36 road win over Worth County Tuesday night in Grant City.
North Nodaway built a 28-15 halftime lead and grew it to 21 by the end of the third. The Tigers combined for just 12 points in the second and third quarters.
Cambry Schluter finished as the Mustangs leading scorer with 15 points and hit two, three's. Right behind was Brittany Bix with a season-high 14 points. North Nodaway also picked up eight points from freshman
Breann O'Riley, seven from Sam Frueh, six from Erin Greeley and five from Leslie Birkenholz.
Riley hit a pair of triples.
Claire Andrew topped Worth County with 14 points. Haven Schottel totaled 10 points and made two, three's.
    Bishop LeBlond 52 Jefferson 41
Coming off a rare loss to North Andrew in the PVC Tournament title, Jefferson played an inspired first quarter that produced a seven-point lead.
The night went mostly downhill from there.
Bishop LeBlond pulled within one point at the half and surged past Jefferson in the second half for a 52-41 win Tuesday night in Conception Junction.
Held to just three first quarter points, LeBlond scored at least 14 over the final three quarters.
The loss was Jefferson' second straight and dropped the Eagles to 3-2.
Shannah Welch and Danae Schieber shared the team lead in scoring with 12 points. Jill Henry added seven points.
Erin Jones and Tyler Reid led a balanced LeBlond attack with 10 points. Danielle Beers finished with eight points. Mackie Browning tossed in seven points.
    Tarkio 42 Northeast Nodaway 38
A close game the whole way, Tarkio held off Northeast Nodaway for a 42-38 win Tuesday in Ravenwood behind its two leading scorers Abby McEnaney and Emily Graves.
They combined for 35 points, split almost down the middle with McEnaney scoring 18 and Graves at 17.
Tarkio was also much better at the foul line, hitting 10-14 tries. The Bluejays were just 9-20.
Tarkio held a one-point lead at the half and extended it to five by the end of the third quarter, outscoring NEN 7-3.
The Bluejays followed their three point third quarter with a 16 point fourth, but it wasn't enough.
NEN's Taryn Farnan finished with a team-high 12 points. Holly Redden stroked three, 3-pointers to finish with 11 points.
North Andrew 71 West Nodaway 42
Held to eight first quarter points, North Andrew erupted for 53 points over the next two quarters, leaving West Nodaway behind for a 71-42 win Tuesday night in Rosendale.
The Cardinals quadrupled their first quarter output during a 32-point second quarter, turning a two-point deficit into a 22-point lead.
North Andrew's Danielle Chambers led all scorers with 19 points. Brinsley Oliver finished with 10 points. Four others had between five and nine points.
West Nodaway's Deanna Harvey scored a team-high 14 points. Marissa Perkins pitched in 12 points.
