  • Stanberry, MO:  Margeretha E. Talmadge, 94, Stanberry, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Northwest Medical Center, Albany, MO.
    She was born October 7, 1918 in Clyde, Missouri, the daughter of Martin T. and Josephine  (Kimmet) Jensen.
    On October 7, 1937, she married Howard Alva Talmadge in Clyde, MO.  He preceded her in death in 1998.
    Margaeretha was a homemaker, seamstress and craftmaker.  She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanberry and an active member of the Altar Society.  Mama to the grandkids and Aunt Toots to the nieces and nephews!
    Survivors include a son, Jerry Talmadge and wife, Shirley, Maryville, MO;  grandchildren, Patty Spire and husband, Ed, Gerald Talmadge and wife, Shelia and Mary Beth Shipps and husband, Gary, all of Maryville, MO;  great-grandchildren, Jodi Nellesen, Savannah, MO, Derk Spire and wife, Nicole, Ravenwood, MO, Kirbee Spire, Gavin Talmadge and Selina Talmadge, Morgan Shipps and Jake Shipps, all of Maryville, MO;  great-great-grandchildren, Frankie Nellesen, Drycen and Krede Spire;  sisters, Martena Swinford, Marcella O'Bannon, Marie Schwebach and MaDonna Strueby;  sisters-in-law, Gertrude Jensen, Ruby Talmadge, Deloris Talmadge, Teresa Jensen and Janie Buckridge and husband, Bob; numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews.
    She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Harry; and brothers, Merritt "Pat", Marvin and Martin T. "Junior"
    Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, at the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stanberry, MO with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Stanberry.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO.
