Gladys Jeanette Smock

Gladys Jeanette Smock, 92, Maitland, Missouri, died Sunday, October 28, 2012,  at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home,  Mound City, Missouri.

Gladys  was born  March 3, 1920, in Harlem, Montana to Carey Pearl and Ruby Kniefer Hester. 

A graduate of Maitland High School Jeanette was a  farmwife and known by her family and closest friends as "Nonny".

Jeanette married William Joseph Smock on September 5, 1942.

Jeanette   was a member of the  Maitland Christian Church for 70 years, Sunday School teacher for many years,  Keenager Pinocle Club, and enjoyed handwork always making quilts and table cloths for someone.

Preceding Jeanette  in death were her husband, parents, sister Neva Napier, great grand daughter Alicia Faith Koch.

Survivors include son Bob(Diane) Smock, Maitland, MO, and daughter Mary Coates, Saint Joseph, MO,  Grandchildren Scott(Amber) Coates, Jennifer(Kyle) Koch, Josh(Jessie) Smock, Travis(Katie) Smock, and Chris(Elaina) Smock.

Great Grandchildren include Maddie Coates, Bailey Sipes, Tyson Koch, Dayne Koch, Tad Smock, Trent Smock, Joe Smock, Jon Smock, Josie Smock, Abigail Smock, Henry Smock and Ivan Smock.

Visitation will be 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM,  Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville,   with burial following in the Maitland Cemetery, Maitland, Missouri.
