'Gator queen' to appear at gun show

Fans of the History channel's "Swamp People" will get a chance to meet one of the reality TV show's stars this weekend when "'gator queen" Liz Cavalier appears at the Big Buck & Gun Show at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph.

Cavalier will be at the show from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The annual two-day outdoor exhibition opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will include a wide variety of vendor booths along with more than 150 tables of guns and outdoor gear.

Scores of trophy deer racks will be on display at the event, and hunters are encouraged to bring in mounted bucks to have them scored.

"'Gator Queen Liz was a special guest at our Sport Show in January and drew huge crowds, so we are brining her back for a encore appearance for the fans who didn’t get a chance to meet her,” said Dee Slominski of RJ Promotions, Inc.
