• Bearcats play Nebraska-Kearney to 1-1 tie

  • The Northwest Missouri State women's soccer team played another tight match Thursday with Nebraska-Kearney that ended in a 1-1 tie.
    It was Northwest's ninth game decided by one goal or less.
    The Lopers put in the first goal of the game during the 29th minute to go up 1-0.
    Northwest was outshot in the first half 6-5. The defense held strong to go into the second half only down by one.
    Amanda Bundrant came through for the Bearcats with her fourth goal of the season. The goal came in the 72nd minute with an assist from Victoria Von Mende.
    Kelsey Adams collected six saves in the game to add to her conference leading total (79).
    The Bearcats move to 7-3-3 on the season and 5-1-2 in MIAA play.
    Northwest will stay on the road Saturday as they take on Fort Hays State with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m.
