The Lady Hound volleyball team connected on a season-high 37 kills to sweep Chillicothe 25-18, 25-23 in an MEC road match Thursday.
Maryville improved to 5-1 in the MEC and could claim a share of the conference title with a win at Smithville in the regular season finale Tuesday and a LeBlond loss.
The Hounds hit .283 as a team and were led by middle hitter Aubrey Kimble with a season-high 11 kills on .304 hitting.
Middle Anny Van de Ven produced eight kills and a hit a team-high .385. Outside hitter Sara Knowles pounded seven kills and hit .333.
Gabby Church had five kills, and Jessa Stiens notched three more.
Van de Ven and Chelsea Byland each had a block in the match.
Setter Alyssa Stiens delivered 21 of the team's 23 assists.
Jessa Stiens came up with a match-high 20 digs, while Kristen Shipps and Lindsey Suchan had seven apiece.
Maryville's next match is Monday night against Craig-Fairfax at home.
The Lady Hounds will wear pink as part of their Spike Out Cancer night.
