  • Erma Louise Bilby, 90, Maryville, formerly of Rosendale and Savannah, Missouri, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville.
    Erma was born October 24, 1921, in Skidmore, Missouri to the late Frank Merle and Mable Aurel (Taylor) Coston.
    She was graduate of Effingham Kansas High School, Effingham, Kansas; recieved an AB Degree from Dallas Christian Collage, Dallas, Texas.
    She was united in marriage to Lt. Col. John Russell Bilby on December 28, 1973 in Skidmore.
    Erma's memberships included: Skidmore Christian Church, Rosendale Garden Club, 50 year member Skidmore Order of the Eastern Star, The Retired Officers Association, DAV Commanders Club and past secretary of the Nodaway County Oates program.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lt. Col. John R. Bilby (March 14, 1984); two brothers, William F. and Robert V, Coston; and a sister Earlene Markham.
    Erma is survived by: step-son Larry (Monika) Bilby, Fairfax, Virginia; sister LaVena M. (Jim) Loehr, Kansas City, Missouri; a sister-in-law Kathryn Coston; many nieces, nephews; great nieces, great nephews; great great nieces and great great nephews.
    Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at 10 AM. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
