Lady Hounds sweep Plattsburg

Powered by its serving game, the Lady Hound volleyball team swept past Plattsburg 25-10, 25-18 Monday night in Plattsburg.

Maryville recorded 14 service aces in the match, accounting for close to one-third of its points.

Alyssa Stiens led the Hounds with four aces. Jessa Stiens and Sara Knowles each finished with three.

Anny Van de Ven and Aubrey Kimble had two apiece.

Van de Ven was Maryville's kill leader with four. Kimble and Knowles each had three kills. Church tacked on two along with two blocks.

Alyssa Stiens passed out seven of eight assists. Jessa Stiens recorded a team-high four digs, while Alyssa Stiens and Chelsea Byland had three apiece.

Maryville plays at Chillicothe Thursday at 5 p.m.
