With five unanswered goals, including four in the first half, the Hound boys soccer team defeated Cameron 5-1 Thursday on the turf at Dave Goodwin Field.
Maryville's five goal output matched their total from Monday's win over Benton. The Hounds improved to 7-9 and beat Cameron for the second time this year.
Sophomore Mitchell Worthington had a pair of goals along with an assist. Lane Hermelink and Danner Jacobsen each contributed a goal and an assist. Zach Miller netted the remaining goal.
Jacobsen started the scoring for Maryville in the seventh minute. He was assisted by Ryan James. A minute later, Miller scored on an assist from Worthington to make it 2-0.
Worthington's first goal in the 21st minute boosted the lead to 3-0. Jacobsen had the assist.
Hermelink scored unassisted in the 28th minute, and assisted on Worthington's second goal in the 42nd minute.
Jake Forsythe scored Cameron's only goal in the 63rd minute unassisted.
Hound keeper Ethan Calfee made three saves in the match.
