• Tigers cool off Nodaway-Holt

  • Surging Nodaway-Holt had its three-game win streak snapped by Worth County/NEN in a 76-44 loss Friday in Graham.
    Nodaway-Holt cut a 22-point first quarter deficit to 12 at the half, but Worth County broke it open with 28 straight second half points.
    The Trojans scored just eight second half points after a 30-point second quarter.
    Dallas Greenland accounted for seven of Worth County's first nine touchdowns, six running and one receiving. He finished with 194 yards on 20 carries.
    Greenland's scoring runs covered 19, 40, 22, 15, 40 and 10 yards. Four of those came in the first half along with a 6-yard touchdown reception.
    Wyatt Rush added 88 yards rushing on nine carries with two touchdown runs (23, 26) and a 7-yard receiving touchdown. He had both of Worth County's fourth quarter touchdowns.
    Andrew Mullock also got into the act with a 9-yard third quarter touchdown run.
    Ross was 7-12 passing for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
    Nodaway-Holt quarterback Nick Patterson completed 20-53 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers.
    Wade Saxton scored Nodaway Holt's first touchdown on a 48-yard reception and capped the scoring with a 43-yard run.
    Derek Lemon and Stephen Schniedermeyer each had 7-yard touchdown receptions. Patterson connected with Brian Lance for a 34-yard score.
    Lance was Nodaway-Holt's leading receiver with 114 yards on six catches. Saxton led the Trojans in rushing with 104 yards on 10 carries.
    North Nodaway 62 West Nodaway 6
    With brothers Austin and Koby Reynolds leading the charge, the Mustangs decked West Nodaway for a 62-6 Homecoming win Friday in Hopkins.
    Quarterback Kody Reynolds threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns, and four of those went to Austin Reynolds who had seven catches for 143 yards.
    Koby and Austin also had a rushing touchdown.
    Marcus Simbro added three catches for 70 yards and a touchdown.
    The win improved North Nodaway to 2-4.
    West Nodaway dropped to 0-6.
