The Maryville Pride Lions Club recently presented the Gordon Monk Scholarship, the Brendan O'Riley Memorial Scholarship and three Pride Lion Scholarships, each for $600, to five Maryville High School seniors.
This year's recipients are:
∙ Mary Beth Seipel, daughter of Sue and Tom Seipel, who plans to major in pharmacy at the University of Kansas.
∙ Kristin Wilson, daughter of Theresa and Wayne Wilson, who plans to study nursing through North Central Missouri Community College.
∙ Holly Wilmarth, daughter of Bill and Elaine Wilmarth, who want to study physical therapy at Highland Community College.
∙ Brooke Byland, daughter of John and Becky Byland, who intends to major in education at Northwest Missouri State University.
∙ Traci Shipps, daughter of Mike and JoAnne Shipps, who plans to enter the pre-medicine program at Truman State University.
∙ Members of the Pride Lions Scholarship Committee are David Primm, Larry Anderson, Jeanine Montgomery, Jonathan Scott and club President Robert Rice.
