Freeda Mae Chitwood

Freeda Mae Chitwood Stava died September 16th, 2012 in Willows, Ca. Born February 18, 1935 in Reynolds County, Mo. to Sam and Hazel (Dawson) Chitwood. Freeda was a 1954 graduate of Elmo High School. After attending Clarinda Junior College for a year, she worked for Tidy House Products in Shenendoah, Iowa. She transferred to Omaha, Ne. where she met Joseph Stava.

They were married in 1960 and moved to Whittier, Ca.

She is survived by their children Nancy Sailsbery, Susan (Chris) Manner, Joseph Stava, Jr. and Jennifer Bracewell and grandchildren Charisse Stava, Eric Stava, Kevin Stava, Ethan Manner, Zachary manner, Allison Manner, Cody Bracewell and Alexis Bracewell. Brothers Kenneth Chitwood, Clearmont, Mo., Robert Chitwood, Leroy, Ks. Sisters: Ella Armagost, Bigfork, Mt., Lois Scott, St. Joseph, Mo., Melba Barr, Des Moines, Iowa, Carol Strauch, Skidmore, Mo., Kathy Chitwood, Skidmore, Mo., and Sally Sims, North Bend, Ne., Brother Sam Chitwood, Jr. preceded her in death August 1987.

Service will be held Sunday, September 23rd, 10:00 a.m. in Willows, Ca.
