Royana Margaret Bilby Linsky

Royana Margaret Bilby Linsky was born January 28, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edmund Raymond and Lena McNaughton Bilby. She died July 7, 2012 in Houston, Texas.

After graduating from Elmo High School, she completed nurses training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She and Robert George Linsky were married March 17, 1942.

She was a nurse in the 46th Field Hospital, a support field hospital for the 9th Army taking part in the Rhineland and the Ardennes campaigns during WW II.

She worked at the Fairfax Community Hospital, and was the school nurse at West Nodaway High School for several years.

Royana was preced in death by her husband, Robert who died in 2006, her parents, a brother, Raymond Bilby and one sister, Maxine Monk.

She is survived by daughter Sharyn Srednicki and husband Frank of Sanford, North Carolina; daughter Maureen Wolf and husband Tim of Houston, Texas; grandson Bryan Wolf and wife Clarissa of Houston, Texas; granddaughter Laren Wolf of Denver, Colorado; sister Anna Vogel and husband Leonard of Dublin, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.
