Helen Lucille Widger

Helen Lucille Widger, 86 of Maryville, Missouri died on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at St Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born February 9, 1926 in Dewitt, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Cyril and Audrey Nicholas Howlett.  Helen was united in marriage to Calvin Richard Widger, November 28, 1952 in Dewitt.  He preceded her in death January 8, 1993.  She was also preceded in death by one sister Louise Buhrmann.

Helen was a graduate of Dewitt High School, and recieved her BS in Elementary Education from Peru State College, Peru, Nebraska.  She had formerly taught elementary school at Wauneta, Nebraska.

Her memberships and hobbies included, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maryville, being an active volunteer at the Maryville Ministry Center, and an avid Bearcat fan.

Surviving are daughter, Diane Widger, Overland Park, KS; one niece Deanna Suhr; one nephew Mark Buhrmann, both of Lincoln, Nebraska, one aunt Alice Niemann, Wilbur, Nebraska, and a host of friends and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21,at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Maryville, Missouri.   Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, August 20 at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville.  

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville.
