Students at Eugene Field Elementary School are 100 days smarter.

Taking the stage with the men in pink sequined vests and the women in blue sequined dresses, the Maryville High School show choir — Spectrum —  performed in Charles Johnson Theater Saturday during the annual Show Choir/Jazz Choir Festival at Northwest Missouri State University.

Pictured are Eugene Field Elementary students selected to have lunch with Principal Steve Klotz and Assistant Principal Brian Lynn as part of the school's "Principal’s Lunch Club." The program recognizes five groups of students each month for exhibiting a specific character trait. The students pictured here were recognized in January, which emphasized "tolerance." The pizza and lemonade lunches are served in the school office conference room.

The Maryville girls basketball team is definitely not a one-trick pony.
